inConcert Web Solutions’ owner and CEO, Matt Ward, has been asked to be one of the select judges for the upcoming National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) 2010 Medallion Awards. On August 10, 2010, Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) will be hosting the judging portion of this prestigious event. MWCC, located in Gardner Massachusetts, is an NCMPR District 1 member. District 1, includes colleges in all of the New England states, in addition to Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, the Canadian Provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and the United Kingdom.

The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries. NCMPR sets its standards by their “Code of Ethics” which includes practices such as observing all state and federal laws and regulations concerning public information, conducting business using honesty and by avoiding the distribution of false or misleading information, adhering to the confidentiality and privacy rights of individuals of governing boards, and prohibiting the use of public funds to benefit public officials unless specified by local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

The NCMPR Medallion Awards recognize excellence in communications by marketing and public relations professionals from community and technical colleges. The categories to be judged for this event include print pieces such as newsletters, magazines, handbooks, and annual reports, web media, radio and video PSA/Advertising, photography and more. Awards levels are bronze, silver, and gold and will be presented at the NCMPR District 1 Conference Award Ceremony in Providence, RI in October.
