Geronimo Properties
Geronimo Properties specializes in developing, leasing, and managing retail and commercial properties in North Central Massachusetts, They are one of the area's largest commercial real estate companies, serving national, regional, and local clients. Geronimo Properties previously had a website, but they were no longer satisfied with the way it portrayed their company so they were looking for a major overhaul.
Geronimo's old site was a little bit bland, utilizing mostly grays and muted colors for
their color palette. It was also originally built following outdated monitor resolution standards, therefore it
had an extremely small frame. Their text was not optimized and in some cases
was actually in the form of an image, which would really hurt their search
engine rankings. And though the website listed their properties, it did not
give much more information that the address and square footage.
As our team at inConcert spoke with the representative from Geronimo Properties, we realized that they needed a lot of customization built throughout the new website and in turn, it ended up being one of the most feature-rich websites we've created so far.
Let's start with the home page. Geronimo's custom home page design allows for a giant
image rotator which will constantly cycle through images of properties they
own. To the left of the image rotator, there is an area where you can select
one of their properties from a pull-down menu to view the details of that
property. Right underneath the image rotator is a strip of smaller images,
which are labeled with the property name. This is an image scroller and these
images scroll from right to left. Underneath the image scroller, you will see a
News area, which pulls from the latest postings from their blog and a
newsletter signup box.
If you wanted to find a property on Geronimo's site, you could go two places,
"For Lease" or "Under Management". Both of these property
listings are populated when the client adds a new property to their website.
They are able to add the property location, which in turn will post a marker on
their custom Google mapping system. From there the viewer can click "Get
Directions" to find out how to get to that location. In addition to
location, our client can add a summary describing the property, an image of the
property, and they can upload pdf files which contain the property demographics
and floorplan.
In addition to the features mentioned above, they requested that we take our standard contact form and slightly upgrade it. Now if someone needs to contact Geronimo Properties about something, the viewer not only can specify the reason why they are writing, but they can also determine which department they want the form to be submitted to.
After the completion of the website, we were also fortunate enough to help Geronimo create business cards and letterhead that had a look which incorporated elements of the new website. This will help unify their overall branding effort. The new website (and their new print materials) will aide Geronimo Properties in properly portraying themselves as a modern, professional company who care about their tenants.
